Cultural offerings that are not seen cannot be perceived. Therefore, visibility and easy access to information are indispensable.
With the open data approach pursued by Münsterland e.V., information on events, POIs and routes is maintained centrally in the "Münsterland data portal" database and can be played out again correctly and up-to-date on a daily basis in a wide variety of digital locations.
Event calendars, digital information boards or entire websites - Münsterland e.V. offers a whole range with useful tools. This way you can tap into new target groups and always come up with new ideas.
The event was primarily aimed at larger and medium-sized cultural institutions as well as organisers from the cultural sector.
Charlotte Seick works in the project "Tourist Data Management" at Münsterland e.V. She is an expert in "Open Data", i.e. data that can be used and disseminated by all users of the internet. Her tasks include the management of the "Münsterland Data Portal", in which information on points of interest (POIs), events, routes and public transport is bundled and then played out on various channels. The aim is to offer added value to local authorities, stakeholders and guests in the Münsterland through the use of the data portal.
The event was free of charge. However, a binding registration was required. The number of participants was limited.
