Data acquisition in networked production

Data acquisition in networked production

Data acquisition is the first step on the way to networked production. A large amount of usable data is the basis for all future-oriented analyses. It supports the megatrends of digitalisation, Big Data, Industry 4.0 and many more.
Some data can be taken directly from the current production, for the collection of further relevant parameters production machines have to be replaced or equipped with additional sensors.
For the forward-looking use of data, real-time data collection in particular is a significant element. While decisions in the past were predominantly based on historical data, forward-looking planning relies on real-time data.
