Data storage in networked production

Data storage in networked production

Data storage is an elementary component of networked production. Without data storage, the evaluation and analysis of data is also not possible.
Relational databases: Data is stored in fixed table structures and can thus be retrieved from different systems. SQL languages (Structured Query Language) are used as programming languages for this purpose. These use a common syntax which simplifies the retrieval of data.
NoSQL databases are becoming more and more popular due to the ever-increasing requirements regarding the flexibility and dynamics of data. These databases can adapt to the complexity of the data because the data is stored in loose structures.
