Liquid biopsy is a molecular analytical method that involves the collection and analysis of non-solid biological tissue, mainly blood. The non-invasive sample collection is one of the major advantages of the method. The areas of application are primarily in tumour diagnostics but also in cardiovascular diagnostics. At present, this method is used as a supplement in tumour diagnostics.
