The combination of textiles with electronic elements opens up many areas of application, including medicine and patient care. By integrating sensor technology, textiles can be produced that interact with the environment. Environmental stimuli or vital parameters can be recorded, transmitted and processed. In the medical field, for example, patients' bodily functions can be monitored with the help of smart textiles.
