Composite materials

Composite materials consist of two or more joined materials of different material classes that have different properties than the individual materials themselves. Composite materials are divided into fibre and layered composites. Composite materials are used, among other things, in lightweight construction and building construction. Depending on the combined materials, the manufacturing processes for the different composite materials also vary. Some composites can be broken down and recycled by type.
