Paper consists of the fibrous materials pulp, mechanical pulp and waste paper, whereby pulp and mechanical pulp mainly come from wood. Technical papers are used, for example, in filter production or as medical papers. Packaging paper and board are used for repackaging, retail packaging, transport packaging and bulk packaging.
Paper consists of the fibrous materials cellulose, wood pulp and waste paper, whereby cellulose and wood pulp mainly come from wood. The flat material is divided into four main groups: graphic papers, packaging papers and cardboard, hygiene papers and technical and special papers.
Technical papers are used, for example, in filter production or as medical papers. Packaging papers and board are used for repackaging, retail packaging, transport packaging and bulk, among other things. The dewatering of a fibre suspension (pulp and water) by means of a sieve produces fibre fleece, which is dried and compacted. For recycling, waste paper is collected, sorted, deinked if necessary (removal of printing ink), shredded and then fed back into the production process.
