In order to increase the intensity of use or resource efficiency of the materials used, a solution could be found not only in technical modifications (e.g. to improve the recyclability of building products) and instead of purchasing building products, but also in the provision of services by the manufacturer. In this case, the manufacturer assumes responsibility for his products for the entire life cycle. Currently, the initiatives to implement the Circular Economy model focus in particular on durable consumer goods, such as photocopiers or high-quality tools. But there are now also approaches in the construction sector, for example to implement the pay-per-use idea. But only if the corresponding approaches offer "incentives" for both the producer and the customer can the comprehensive realisation of a closed loop be expected.
