Use of mineral RC materials (in building products)

High-quality recycling of mineral building rubble and road debris and their reuse in the construction industry as secondary raw materials contributes significantly to saving primary resources and ultimately also to climate protection. RC building materials such as RC concrete granulate (mainly produced from broken concrete) and RC mix (mixture produced from various mineral materials such as broken concrete and bricks) must meet construction and environmental requirements in order to ensure safe and harmless recycling in the long term. The necessary regulations are fully available; they only need to be applied.

Prerequisites for use:

  • Tenders for construction projects are to be designed in a product-neutral and performance-detailed manner.
  • selective deconstruction of buildings and selective recording of the various types of materials formerly used
  • quality and quality assurance of constructional and environmentally compatible properties

Best practices/applications/signals:

  • Betonwerk Büscher GmbH & Co. KG: Production of RC precast concrete elements
  • Heinrich Feess GmbH & Co. KG: Production of RC products for building construction and civil engineering
