Commitment of the Münsterlanders

Many people in Münsterland volunteer to promote biodiversity in our region. This can be done in your own garden - or by volunteering in an association. Here you can combine your hobby with the community. Maybe there's something for you, too:

Association NATURnah | Unser Garten in Telgte e.V.

The association NATURnah | Unser Garten in Telgte e.V. creates the possibility for interested citizens to jointly design and accompany nature experiences. The members would like to transform the fallow areas of Telgte into near-natural, ecologically designed gardens, landscapes and biotopes. In the long run, this will make Telgte more colourful, beautiful, diverse and rich in species of animals and food. More information is available here.

Nature Garden AG of NABU Münster

NABU Münster's Nature Garden AG has been in existence since September 2020. The idea for the foundation resulted from the insect protection project "Münster summt auf" (Münster hums up), which is carried out by the NABU Münsterland station in cooperation with the city of Münster. Here, the topic of "near-natural, insect-friendly gardens" is high on the agenda.
More information is available here.

Obst-und Gartenbauverein Oelde e.V. (Oelde Fruit and Gardening Association)

The Obst- und Gartenbauverein Oelde e.V. has existed in Oelde since 1912. The family garden invites you to a cosy get-together in a green idyll. "Whether for a morning coffee meeting, Sunday cake-eating in the summer months or simply enjoying the lush variety of plants. There is always something going on here."
