Climate protection in the Borken district

The district administration of Borken has about 800 positions in 16 specialised units and an additional 300 part-time employees. Climate protection work is located in the Nature and Environment Department, Administration and Climate Protection Division. In addition, there is a long-established and close connection to the district's subsidiaries in the field of climate protection. These are the Entsorgungsgesellschaft Westmünsterland (egw) and the Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft für den Kreis Borken (WFG), with whom the topics of energy saving, energy efficiency, networking and awareness raising are jointly tackled. As can be seen from the following projects, the district and its subsidiaries are setting an example.
