A charming village in the middle of Münsterland
Ascheberg

Welcome to Ascheberg!

The 15,000 inhabitants of Ascheberg enjoy THE GOOD LIFE in the countryside with many leisure and sports facilities and a good infrastructure. The municipality consists of three districts of different sizes.

Southern Münsterland on the border to the Ruhr region

Ascheberg is around 25 minutes by car south of Münster in the district of Coesfeld. You have excellent connections to both Münsterland and the Ruhr region: Dortmund, for example, is only 40 minutes away by car. You can reach Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) in half an hour and the district town of Coesfeld in 45 minutes. The north-east Bielefeld is a good hour's drive away.
Regional trains to Münster and Dortmund run from the train stations in Ascheberg and the Davensberg district.

Tip: The Münsterland is a cycling region! 4500 kilometres of cycle paths offer you almost unlimited possibilities in the city and in the countryside: you can easily commute to work by bike and go on great tours with friends and family.

Living in Ascheberg

The municipality of Ascheberg consists of three districts. Around half of the 15,000 inhabitants live in the centrally located main town of Ascheberg. Around 5400 people live in the district of Herbern, which is a good 10-minute drive south of the centre in the Münsterland parkland. The smallest district is Davensberg to the north with around 1700 inhabitants.

Although rental and purchase prices are following the general property trend overall, there are still numerous niches to be discovered in Münsterland when it comes to building, buying or renting. Here you can find the average purchase and rental prices for a house or flat in the rural area of Münsterland.

The municipality has compiled all the information about building, renting and living in Ascheberg on its website: You can find all the contacts there, view current building sites with building plots in the three districts and view the current rent index.
