The state-recognised spa town of Bad Waldliesborn is a district of Lippstadt and lies right on the border between the Münsterland and Sauerland regions. Here, the 5000 inhabitants enjoy THE GOOD LIFE in the countryside with a wide range of sports and wellness facilities.

Bad Waldliesborn is located on the south-eastern edge of Münsterland and has good transport links to the Sauerland and the Ruhr region. Hamm is just 45 minutes away by car, for example, and Münster is just over an hour away. Bielefeld in East Westphalia is just 35 minutes away.

If you want to travel, you have several airports to choose from. The Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO), for example, is a good hour's drive away, while the Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport is half an hour away.

Tip: The Münsterland is a cycling region! 4500 kilometres of cycle paths offer you almost unlimited possibilities in the city and in the countryside: you can easily commute to work by bike and go on great tours with friends and family.

Living in Bad Waldliesborn

With around 5,000 inhabitants, Bad Waldliesborn is the largest district of Lippstadt, which is also known as the "Venice of Westphalia" due to its many bridges. It is located around 15 minutes' drive north of the city centre in the countryside and has its own village centre with shops, restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours. The heart of the small town is the extensive spa gardens, which are bordered by residential areas to the north and south.

Bad Waldliesborn used to belong to the municipality of Liesborn in Münsterland. It was not until 1975 that the spa became a district of Lippstadt, while Liesborn became a district of the municipality of Wadersloh.

You can buy everything you need for everyday life in Bad Waldliesborn: in addition to a supermarket, there is also an organic food shop, bakeries and a drugstore. The nearby city centre of Lippstadt invites you to go shopping: Here you have the choice between many large fashion shops and small concept stores, bookshops, decoration and gift shops and special specialist shops, for example for wedding and evening dresses.
