Welcome to Beelen!

Beelen is located in the district of Warendorf, around 45 minutes east of Münster by car. You can reach Osnabrück and Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) just as quickly, while Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport is just under an hour away. The district town of Warendorf borders Beelen, and it takes around 15 minutes to get to the city centre. Bielefeld can be reached in just over half an hour.

From Beelen railway station, you can travel directly to Münster, Gütersloh and Bielefeld.

Tip: The Münsterland is a cycling region! 4500 kilometres of cycle paths offer you almost unlimited possibilities in the city and in the countryside: you can easily commute to work by bike and go on great tours with friends and family.

The heart of Beelen is the historic church square, which is located near the railway station. To the north, south and east of this old town centre are housing estates, where most of the approximately 6500 inhabitants live. There is an industrial estate to the west.
The Münsterland parkland surrounding the main town centre is home to ten small farming communities, which also belong to the municipality.

Although rental and purchase prices are following the general property trend overall, there are still numerous niches to be discovered in Münsterland when it comes to building, buying or renting. There are several supermarkets near the railway station and on the eastern outskirts of Beelen where you can buy everything you need for everyday life. As everywhere in Münsterland, you can of course also buy e-bikes, bicycles and all kinds of accessories in bike shops in Beelen.

The neighbouring town of Warendorf, for example, offers more shopping opportunities.

There are four kindergartens and daycare centres in Beelen to look after the little ones. Further childcare options - for example through childminders - are organised by the association "Eltern für Kinder e.V.".

In Beelen there is a primary school, which also offers childcare as part of the open all-day programme.
Secondary schools are located in the neighbouring towns, for example a secondary school, a comprehensive school and two grammar schools in Warendorf.

Most of the companies in Beelen are small and medium-sized enterprises, including service providers, craftsmen, mechanical engineers, construction and logistics companies. The larger companies in the town include Hartmann Möbelwerke, Dingwerth Logistik, AGRATA Agrarhandel, the plant manufacturer Aumann Beelen and the mechanical engineering and steel construction company Rampelmann & Spliethoff.
