The 11,000 inhabitants of Ostbevern enjoy THE GOOD LIFE between town and country: the municipality is located in the countryside between fields, meadows and nature reserves, but is well connected to nearby Münster. Ostbevern consists of the town centre, the small district of Brock and twelve farming communities.
Ostbevern is located northeast of Münster in the district of Warendorf, about 20 minutes by car from the district capital. You can reach Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) just as quickly; it takes about 40 minutes to get to Münster. Osnabrückand Bielefeld are both about 50 minutes away, and Dortmund is about an hour away. Ostbevern has a railway station located between the town centre and the Brock district. From here you can travel to Münster, Osnabrück or Düsseldorf, among other places.

Most of the municipality's 11,000 inhabitants live in the town centre, with around 600 living in the district of Brock. Ostbevern also includes twelve small farming communities, which are located around the two districts in the Münsterland parkland.
A particularly large number of young families live in Ostbevern's extensive residential areas: almost one in four of the municipality's residents is under the age of 20.

Loburg moated castle, which lies to the north-east of the town centre, was designed in the 18th century by Baroque master builder Johann Conrad Schlaun as a pleasure palace and is now a boarding school. The magnificent building has also served as a film set several times - most recently in 2018 as the school of the "TKKG" gang in the cinema.
In the centre of Ostbevern you can browse and shop in various shops, for example in a handicraft shop, a toy shop or a fashion boutique. Like almost everywhere in Münsterland, there is also a specialist bicycle shop in the town where you can get everything you need for your e-bike or bicycle. You can buy groceries in Ostbevern at several supermarkets, and on Thursdays there is also a weekly market.

The more than 200 companies in Ostbevern - mainly small and medium-sized enterprises - are active in a wide variety of sectors. One focus is on manufacturing, but there are also a number of service providers, including catering and retail businesses. The larger employers include Friwo Gerätebau GmbH, WESTERIA Fördertechnik GmbH and Vossko GmbH & Co KG, which produces frozen meat dishes. Thanks to the good transport connections, it is also easy to commute to work from Ostbevern, for example to Münster.
