The Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft für den Kreis Borken mbH (WFG) pursues the goal of improving the economic situation in the district of Borken and having a positive effect on the regional labour market situation. Initially founded in 1968 for the district of Ahaus, the WFG has been responsible for the entire district of Borken since the municipal territorial reform in 1975. The shareholders of the WFG are the district of Borken and the cities and municipalities in the district. The managing director is Dr. Heiner Kleinschneider.
The WFG aims to offer companies in the local economy the best possible environment and assists companies and start-ups with a wide range of challenges.
