egeplast international GmbH: 2017 award winner in the "Economy" category
The plastic polyethylene (PE) is the measure of all things in this innovation: with HexelOne - high-pressure pipes made of polyethylene - the owner-managed company egeplast international GmbH from Greven has developed a product that is efficient, sustainable and process-safe.
The material makes the difference
Plastic bottles, water boxes and packaging - they are all usually made of polyethylene (PE). However, the plastic plays a major role not only in everyday life, but also for industry.
With HexelOne, egeplast international GmbH has developed an intelligent and stable pipe system made of PE that offers advantages all around: customers save material as well as costs and benefit from faster production and easier handling on the construction site. The HexelOne retains its advantages up to an operating pressure of 20 bar. This is very important depending on the application. This was also the case in the project with Bayernwerk Netz GmbH in Regensburg, where several companies were connected to the existing gas network.
But not only the end product is something special - the manufacturing process is also innovative and much more efficient. In the future, PE pipes from egeplast will thus be able to replace steel and cast iron pipes, enabling sustainable construction. After all, like plastic bottles, they are 100 percent recyclable.
