Enabling Networks Münsterland

The funding project

Enabling Networks Münsterland is a regional collaborative project that combines the key potentials of Münsterland in the field of innovation with the aim of structurally and sustainably improving innovation promotion and innovation marketing.

These special potentials for Münsterland result from a pronounced regional research competence and the highly specialised, mostly medium-sized, economic structure. The focus of the project is to improve the networking of these two innovation drivers and to work together on innovations.

The Enabling Networks project turns target groups into actors and forms a new interface for regional innovation promotion between companies, science, business development, politics and the public. The overarching goal is to promote regional innovation structures by establishing and consolidating networks and cooperations in the five innovation competence fields (IKF) of the Münsterland. These were identified in a regional environment analysis as part of the predecessor project "Enabling Innovation Münsterland".

The Enabling Networks project consists of two main packages of measures: The first provides for the establishment and implementation of entrepreneurial think tanks in all innovation competence fields. These pursue the intention of developing future strategies and suggestions for regional innovation promotion in the form of recommendations for action for regional innovation promotion and the political environment. The second package of measures networks companies and higher education institutions in the region and provides impulses for advancing innovations through low-threshold regional technology scouting in the innovation competence fields of the Münsterland. This dialogue-oriented provision of information can then be linked to cooperation opportunities and recommendations for action. These can also be integrated into the future strategies of the think tanks.
