On a discovery tour through the palace and castle region

New publications from Münsterland e.V. published

A castle on the right, a palace on the left and a view straight ahead over the vast parkland - that's the Münsterland. More than 100 examples of great architecture are just waiting to be discovered in the region. Two updated print products from Münsterland e.V. provide orientation: the booklet accompanying the 100 Castles Route and the new edition of the Castles and Palaces Map.

It is the undisputed queen of the cycle routes in Münsterland: the 100 Castles Route. Over 960 kilometres, it connects more than 100 moated castles, fortresses, manor houses and stately homes. The cycle route leads in four signposted circuits through the entire Münsterland region. The booklet accompanying the cycle route contains all the information you need for a trip on the queen of cycle routes: tips for day trips and multi-day tours, attractive travel offers and everything you need to know about the palaces and castles along the way. It also provides information on topics such as overnight stays and accommodation, caravan parks and bike boxes and travelling by bus and train. It concludes with a practical overview map.

There is also a new edition of the map "Schlösser- und Burgenregion Münsterland erleben" (Experience the Münsterland Castles and Palaces Region) so that interested visitors don't lose track of the many monasteries, castles and manor houses and always know where each property is located and what it has to offer. This shows at a glance which buildings the region is home to. The highlight: the castles are divided into four different categories that show the best way to experience the properties. This means that everyone can quickly find the right castle for an excursion.

The accompanying booklet and the castles and palaces map are available free of charge from tourist information centres in the region and from Münsterland e.V., by phone on 02571 949392, by email at touristik@muensterland.com or online at www.muensterland.com/kataloge.
