Bus driving as a profession: campaign week in Münsterland invites interested parties to try it out

Anyone wanting to change careers is invited to the "Bus Driver Action Week" in the second week of April. In six cities and municipalities in the Münsterland region, experts will provide information on the requirements and ways to become a bus driver.

"Come, get to know, try it out: In April, we are offering anyone who is interested the opportunity to try out whether bus driving is for them in an uncomplicated way," say those responsible for the campaign week.

The action week is a project of the Münsterland Regional Agency, the employment agencies and the municipal job centres as well as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Chamber of Trade and Crafts and the Confederation of German Trade Unions (DGB) in order to jointly address the need for skilled workers. At the same time, the project makes a concrete contribution to the joint initiative of the NRW Ministry of Labour and the NRW Regional Directorate to network educational areas with the aim of jointly developing strategies and pragmatic approaches. Employers, employees and jobseekers should thus gain a better overview of training programmes and funding opportunities.

"The action week shows how useful the Münsterland-wide collaboration is: we are using an unconventional approach to encourage interested parties to find out about new career paths and get in touch with the various bus and transport companies," the stakeholders agree.
