Project call "Signpost change": Information event of the Kulturbüro Münsterland on 26 April

When the territorial reform came into force in Germany in 1975, numerous local authority and district boundaries were shifted. To mark the 50th anniversary of the reform, the cultural office of Münsterland e.V. has organised an artistic exploration of this event under the motto "Changing signs - 50 years of territorial reform in Münsterland". In an online information session on 26 April (Friday) from 2 to 3.30 pm, the team from the cultural office will present the central aspects of the project and answer all questions relating to the application.

We are looking for art projects from various disciplines that deal with the effects of the reorganisation - because even today you can still experience the traces that the reform and the associated reorganisations have left on the population and people's sense of regional identity and belonging: Numerous borders were shifted, many a small town was incorporated by a larger one, areas of life changed from one day to the next. The enormous transformation process caused resistance among the population, which is still being felt today.

Financial support of up to 12,000 euros (gross) can be applied for for the respective projects. Applications are open to individual artists and collectives with project ideas from all disciplines, from literature to performance and media art. The application deadline is 17 May 2024.

Participation in the information event is free of charge, registration is required (by email to schilderwechsel@muensterland.com).

Everything you need to know about the application can be found at www.muensterland.com/schilderwechsel Questions about "Schilderwechsel" can be answered by the Kulturbüro Münsterland on 02571-949326.
