The Münsterland Innovation Award as a motivational boost for the team

Applications still possible until 28 February / Award winner PollerMax GmbH reports on experience

A retractable bollard that can be installed in less than six hours - with this idea, PollerMax GmbH from Heek won the Münsterland Innovation Award in the "Start-up" category in 2019. Even today, the start-up still benefits from the award, which it still uses "to advertise at every opportunity", as Managing Director Andreas Rosery emphasises. That is why Rosery also advises other companies to take part in the competition. Because companies and universities in Münsterland can still apply for the Münsterland Innovation Award until 28 February 2022.

With their company, founded in 2017, the two founders Andreas Rosery and Jürgen Weitkamp had developed a retractable bollard that can be installed in a few hours thanks to its included concrete base and has since made many festivals and markets safer. "Since the award, our innovative product has evolved, but the basic idea and principle have remained," explains Rosery. "The Innovation Award was a turbo for the further development, the whole team contributed with pride and commitment." The founder and CEO is convinced that the Münsterland Innovation Award - whether for established companies or start-ups - "is a motivational boost". Andreas Rosery emphasises: "It pays to present your product and stand up for it. Public feedback is a solid pillar in the everyday struggle for top positions in economic competition."

Companies and universities can still apply for the Münsterland Innovation Award until 28 February. This year the prize is entitled "Together. Sustainable. Act. Applications can only be submitted online at www.innovationspreis-muensterland.de.

Münsterland e.V. awards the prize every two years together with its sponsors - the Sparkassen in Münsterland, Westfälische Provinzial Versicherung AG and Westenergie AG. Awards are given for innovations in five categories: "Business", "Science meets Business", "Start-up", "Digital Business Models" and "Small and Smart". The winners will receive prize money of 4000 euros each as well as an image or product film.

The award ceremony will take place in the summer of 2022 in the district of Coesfeld. Prior to that, a six-member jury with representatives from business and science will decide on this year's winners of the Münsterland Innovation Award.
