Ein Kessel Buntes" cultural festival on 21 May: Rally from the Steinfurt district to Münster

After the cultural hike on the Hermannsweg to the evening programme in Münster

MÜNSTERLAND/STEINFURT: Over the past 25 years, numerous cultural projects throughout the Münsterland region have been supported by the "RKP - Regionales Kultur Programm NRW" state funding programme - this anniversary will be celebrated in a big way on 21 May on the grounds of the Mühlenhof in Münster. The organisers have come up with something special for the journey to the festival location: In the district of Steinfurt, Münsterland e.V. invites you to a cultural hike on the Hermannsweg.

The rally starts at 11 a.m. with a welcome and a mini guided tour at the Kulturspeicher in Dörenthe. Before the group sets off on the Hermannsweg, the Grinsekatze puppet theatre will put the guests in the mood for the approximately ten-kilometre guided cultural hike with a short play. After the first stage, participants can enjoy the view of the Münsterland region at the "Schöne Aussicht" viewing platform and listen to the exclusive concert by singer Hanna Meyerholz. The destination of the walk is the DA, Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst. There, Gravenhorst scholarship holders Maria Vill and David Mannstein will present the RKP project "Paste Up History!". Guests will also have the opportunity to work on the project live. In addition, An Seebach, former project scholarship holder and seasonal artist, will present her new artistic picnic blankets and introduce them in a short talk. At 5 p.m., the walking group will return by bus to the starting point or continue to the Mühlenhof in Münster.

The cultural walk takes place in cooperation with the team from Kulturspeicher Dörenthe, the DA, Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst and the district of Steinfurt.
Under the title "Ein Kessel Buntes" there will be a colourful fair of music, dance, film art, children's theatre and performances on various stages at the Mühlenhof from 6 to 10 pm. Around 15 different projects are part of the evening programme and show what culture in Münsterland is all about. "The cultural festival shows the diversity from 25 years of RKP funding in Münsterland. Artists from various disciplines present current and funded projects that make you want to experience culture again in a carefree way," says Stephanie Pausch from the Münsterland Cultural Office.

After the evening programme, the bus will take the guests from the Steinfurt district back to Dörenthe at 10 pm.

Tickets for the rally and "Ein Kessel Buntes" as well as further information on the programme are available at www.muensterland.com/ein-kessel-buntes. If you have any questions about the walk, the Münsterland Tourism Centre is available by phone on 02571 949392 or by e-mail to touristik@muensterland.com.
