Experience the good: New travel magazine of Münsterland e.V. whets the appetite for the region

Münsterland has a lot to offer and is an attractive destination at any time of year. Whether for cycling, horseback riding or hiking, whether for a picnic in the countryside, a city trip to Münster or a short holiday: With its new travel magazine "Münsterland - das Gute erleben. Münsterland e.V. offers a fresh, picture-rich, new medium full of inspiration on all topics of interest in the region.

The magazine replaces the classic theme catalogues and presents the core themes of the region with modern storytelling - for example, the Münsterland castles and palaces region: In addition to general information, the highlights from Nordkirchen Castle to Vischering Castle to Bentlage Monastery are presented in short portraits. This is followed by a larger section on the 100 Castles Route, probably the best-known cycle route in the Münsterland. Extensive information on the cycling and riding region is supplemented by interesting interviews: Myriam Freifrau von Korff reports on life and work in the Harkotten manor house and the Chief Forestry Inspector Friederike Rövekamp talks about the fascination of the Dülmen wild horses.

Other topics are the city of Münster, which is presented in a short portrait, and Münsterland as a picnic region: tips on secluded spots and regional specialities for the picnic basket, including recipes. The Münsterland as a region of pleasure is also the subject of a section on food and drink: the weekly market on the cathedral square in Münster, a restaurant for gourmets and some selected farm shops in the region are presented. A service section, including tips on events, rounds off the magazine.

The travel magazine is financed as part of the ERDF funding project "Palaces and Castles Region Münsterland", which was initiated and is being implemented by Münsterland e.V. and the four districts as well as the City of Münster as part of Regionale 2016.

The booklet has now been published for the first time, the next issue is planned for spring 2023. It is available free of charge from tourist information offices in the region and from Münsterland e.V., by telephone on 02571-949392, by email to touristik@muensterland.com or online at www.muensterland.com/kataloge.
