Friday is the day: the region celebrates the Münsterland Picnic Days

Around 40 events and activities from 14 to 16 June

It will be exciting, cosy, varied and delicious - and hopefully with the best weather: the Münsterland Picnic Days are just around the corner and invite locals, guests and picnic enthusiasts to celebrate the Münsterland lifestyle from 14 to 16 June (Friday to Sunday). Around 40 events and activities will create a picnic atmosphere throughout Münsterland.

The events on offer are a colourful mix: they range from a European Championship public viewing event to a Münsterland country picnic, a picnic in the dahlia garden to picnic concerts, a cultural picnic or a sundowner yoga picnic. All events can be found on the website www.muensterland.com/picknicktage. The picnic weekend was initiated by Münsterland e.V., which had called on the region to organise events in advance. In keeping with the Münsterland Picnic Days, the historical treasures in the Münsterland will also be opening their doors and gates on Sunday for Castles and Palaces Day.

"We look forward to welcoming everyone who sets off on the weekend, even spontaneously and without registration. Many municipalities are organising free events with numerous activities throughout the weekend, including for families with children. Picnics that you bring with you are also always welcome - both at many of the events themselves and at the numerous other picnic spots in the region," says Lea Kirschberg, Project Manager Picnic³ at Münsterland e.V.

For those who prefer to enjoy the food on offer from local producers and restaurateurs, this is also possible at many events in Münsterland. For the Landpartie in Ottmarsbocholt, for example, interested parties can still order various regionally filled picnic boxes from Biohof Schwienhorst until Friday, and the organisers also have other culinary offerings available in some cases.
