Looking forward to a cycling holiday: Current brochure on the 100 Castles Route published

MÜNSTERLAND. A castle on the right, a palace on the left, a view straight ahead into the blossoming Münsterland park landscape - this is pure country idyll. Between green meadows and fields, flower gardens and well-tended parks, the 100 Castles Route leads through Münsterland as the "Queen of Cycling Routes" in the approaching spring and connects the most beautiful places in the region with a relaxing experience in the bicycle saddle. The "100 Castles Route" brochure published by Münsterland e.V. will whet your appetite for a holiday, short trip or excursion by bike.

On the approximately 1000 kilometres of the route, cyclists can ride as they please and see a castle every 10 kilometres on the four circuits of the route - north, east, south and west. In addition to pictures and descriptions of the architectural treasures, the brochure also contains information on opening hours and facilities. In addition, there are tips on signposting, sights along the route, accommodation, picnic areas or entry car parks. Multi-day, weekend and day tours are possible along the route. Suggestions for the latter can also be found in the new brochure.

The more than 100 castles, stately homes, monasteries, manor houses and aristocratic residences in the Münsterland make for particularly beautiful photo motifs on the cycle tour. The density of estates, the abundance of moated castles and the number of historic noble families make the region a surprising and unique holiday and excursion destination - and a little insider tip. In addition to the exciting history of the old treasures, each estate impresses with its very own charm: whether it's a private home hidden behind hedges, extensive parks around Renaissance buildings or an opulent Baroque castle with an exciting museum - everyone who loves castles will find what they're looking for in Münsterland.

And if you look closely, you will also recognise the common features that unite the multitude into one region: Due to the flat nature of the Münsterland, many of the castles and palaces were created as water installations. Even today, there is a special attraction in the water forces that make the castles in Münsterland popular destinations for excursions and photo motifs.

The brochure "100 Castles Route" can now be ordered free of charge from Münsterland e.V. by telephone (02571 949392) or by e-mail (touristik@muensterland.com). It is also available for download at www.muensterland.com/kataloge or can be ordered online there.
