Matinee concert with Iiro Rantala at Raesfeld Castle

Finnish jazz star gives exclusive Münsterland Festival additional concert

on 1 November.

All good things come in threes: Finnish star pianist Iiro Rantala has already performed on stage at Kulturgut Haus Nottbeck, and on 2 November he will perform with the Münster Symphony Orchestra in the sold-out Draiflessen - now, due to great demand, another concert is scheduled at Münsterland Festival part 12: On 1 November (Wednesday/All Saints' Day), Iiro Rantala will give an exclusive matinee concert at Schloss Raesfeld - on a small scale, with only 50 tickets going on sale. The concert will take place in cooperation with Ortsmarketing Raesfeld e.V.

"Because the demand was so great and the situation arose, we organised another concert with Iiro Rantala at short notice. This way, even more festival fans will be able to enjoy the gifted jazz pianist live. And exclusively in front of a special backdrop at Raesfeld Castle," explains Lars Krolik, festival director at Münsterland e.V.

In terms of playing, the Finn moves between genres and does what he does best: his own thing. It is this musical horizon that makes Rantala stand out so much. In his jazz, classical, pop or rock easily flow into it, and the Finn makes use of amazing technique and exuberant imagination. With his music, the pianist convinces even those who previously thought they didn't like jazz. It is not for nothing that the magazine Jazz thing & Blue Rhythm calls him a "natural phenomenon on the keys".

Admission is at 10.30am that morning, starting at 11am. Tickets are available online at www.muensterland-festival.de or by calling the Münsterland Tourism Centre on 02571 94 93 92.

All in all, the Münsterland Festival part 12, with the motto "From 1000 Lakes to 100 Castles", invites visitors to enjoy music, art and dialogue from 6 October to 5 November with more than 30 concerts, six art and eight dialogue projects in 35 towns and cities in the Münsterland.
