Mission White Flamingo: Culture podcast moves to kult in Vreden for episode three

MÜNSTERLAND/VREDEN. Anna-Ida Almus from the Münsterland e.V. cultural office is on the lookout again. She is looking for special cultural places in the region. They may be special, but also somewhat hidden - like the flamingos in the Zwillbrocker Venn. Hence the name of their new cultural podcast: Mission White Flamingo. After being drawn to the DA, Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst in Hörstel and Schloss Senden for the first two episodes, this time the flamingo flies to the kult in Vreden in the district of Borken.

In a conversation with director Corinna Endlich, Kerstin Hemker from the German-Zimbabwean Society and the talking sock Rock McSock, this episode deals with the tasks of a cultural centre director, the diverse programme of the kult, a special exhibition of Zimbabwean sculptures and the online services of the centre. Especially with regard to the latter, the listeners can be curious about McSock's role in this and what angle particularly knocks his socks off at the kult.

For this episode, Anna-Ida Almus visited the third of four districts in Münsterland. "I want to visit very different places throughout the region with the podcast in order to depict the span of the cultural landscape," says Almus. "At the kult in Vreden, I was particularly impressed by the fact that this cultural house offers space for so many different events and, in addition to the permanent exhibition on the border regions, always presents topics in a special way with exciting special exhibitions."
