Scoring points in the "War of Talents" with the Münsterland Innovation Award

Applications still possible until 28 February / Award winner Eucon Group reports on experiences

The Münsterland Innovation Award has been presented since 1993, and companies and universities in Münsterland can also apply for the award in 2022. The Eucon Group from Münster also did so in 2019, finally securing the prize in the category "Digital Business Models". This not only benefited innovation, but also the company, as Barbara Greissinger, Head of Corporate Communications at the Eucon Group, emphasises: "In the war of talents, it is important to position yourself as an outstanding company. Employees today place great value on an inspiring work environment. Such awards are of high value as they visibly communicate the spirit of innovation to the outside world."

In 2019, the Eucon Group convinced the jury of the Münsterland Innovation Award with its innovation "Smart Claims". In this, the company makes use of artificial intelligence to help insurers work more efficiently and cost-effectively. According to the company, the AI-supported solution is now indispensable in the insurance industry and helps to process claims faster and easier, thus improving the customer experience.

Not only with a view to the shortage of skilled workers does the Eucon Group recommend other companies or institutions to take part in the Münsterland Innovation Award, but also with a view to the award itself. "It was a great honour and appreciation for our employees to receive the Innovation Award," says Barbara Greissinger. "Besides that, it was a great event and great fun to exchange ideas and network." She also emphasises the importance of the award: "The Innovation Award is a coveted distinction in Münsterland. Whoever ends up on stage with a trophy has definitely proven to be one of the most innovative companies in the region."

Companies and universities can still apply for the Münsterland Innovation Award until 28 February. This year the award is entitled "Together. Sustainable. Act. Applications can only be submitted online at www.innovationspreis-muensterland.de.

Münsterland e.V. awards the prize every two years together with its sponsors - the Sparkassen in Münsterland, Westfälische Provinzial Versicherung AG and Westenergie AG. Awards are given for innovations in five categories: "Business", "Science meets Business", "Start-up", "Digital Business Models" and "Small and Smart". The winners will receive prize money of 4000 euros each as well as an image or product film.

The award ceremony will take place in the summer of 2022 in the district of Coesfeld. Prior to that, a six-member jury with representatives from business and science will decide on this year's winners of the Münsterland Innovation Award.
