Münsterland country tour with picnic

Diverse programme on 15 June at the Schwienhorst organic farm in Senden-Ottmarsbocholt

Experience agriculture globally and locally: This is possible during the Münsterland Picnic Days on 15 June (Saturday) at the Schwienhorst organic farm in Senden-Ottmarsbocholt. There will be a varied programme for young and old on the farm - with an activity field, hands-on stations, music and rallies by bike. The event is organised by Biohof Schwienhorst together with VAMOS e.V. and Münsterland e.V..

The focus is on regional value creation and regional farming. Various organisations and associations will be presenting themselves on the action field from 12 noon to 6 pm. They will provide information on the topics of regional nutrition, fair trade and sustainability at small hands-on stations about how they are implemented in the Münsterland region. At Oikocredit, for example, interested visitors can discover the places where chocolate is produced on a cocoa trail, while Mutter Erde Samen e.V. will be presenting and selling different types of seeds. The Münsterland seal will also have a stand on site - after all, the Schwienhorst organic farm is itself a member of the Münsterland Qualität e.V. network and has been awarded the Münsterland seal. The Münsterland eco-model region, ADFC Münsterland, Regionalwert AG and Albengo de Alpaca will also be represented.

In addition, the Moustache theatre will entertain with walking acts and the farm will also be offering carriage rides. Of course, there are also numerous picnic options - for example on the meadow between the fruit trees. It is also possible to order various regionally filled picnic boxes in advance from the organic farm. The farm address is Oberbauerschaft 8, 48308 Senden-Ottmarsbocholt.

In keeping with the theme, VAMOS e.V. and the ADFC Münsterland are offering various public rallies by bike to the farm. VAMOS e.V. is thus launching its Wandeln- und Handelnrouten (Change and Action Routes), which connect thematic destinations in the districts of Warendorf and Coesfeld and address the topic of agriculture in local and global practices. All tours lead together to the Schwienhorst organic farm and start between 9 and 10 am from Lüdinghausen, Münster, Telgte, Ahlen and Tilbeck Abbey. This year, the Münsterland Picnic Days will take place from 14 to 16 June under the motto "Me. You. We. The Münsterland celebrates picnics!" to celebrate the Münsterland lifestyle together.
