New children's book from the Münsterland: Castles and fortresses are teeming with life

At the castles and palaces of the Münsterland region, things are about to get a little bit more cosy. Whether in the park of Nordkirchen Castle, between the roof beams of Bentlage Monastery or in the rooms of Raesfeld moated castle: in a new hidden object book, children and the young at heart get to know eight buildings from the Münsterland region from their most colourful side. The book was created as part of a collaboration between Münsterland e.V. and Coppenrath Verlag and illustrated by Till Lenecke.

There is plenty for the little ones to discover on ten double pages: They can learn more about the different architectural styles of the castles and fortresses in Münsterland, about their special features and inhabitants and about all the exciting things that take place within their walls. They can fly with the castle ghosts, race down the castle stairs, feast in the castle kitchen or play castle theatre. The last two pages contain additional information and data on the individual buildings.

"Together with Coppenrath Verlag and the illustrator Till Lenecke, we have created a wonderful hidden object and search game - not only for the little ones, but actually for all Münsterland and castle fans," emphasises Michael Kösters, Head of Tourism at Münsterland e.V. "The book invites you to playfully discover the historical treasures of the Münsterland and immerse yourself in times gone by."

.

The Wimmelbuch complements the Münsterland collection, which has been developed as part of the "Münsterland Castles & Palaces Region" project since the beginning of 2022. A colouring book for adults, a puzzle, a memo game, postcards and a bicycle bell are already on the market. Further information can be found at www.muensterland.com/muensterland-kollektion

As an extension to the Wimmelbuch, a picture of Liesborn Abbey Museum, also drawn by Till Lenecke, will also be published in time for Castles and Palaces Day in mid-June.

The children's book costs 14 euros and is available now from retailers and in The Sdjool online shop (www.the-sdjool.de).

Hidden object book fans should also keep 16 June (Sunday) free. Münsterland e.V. will be organising two book signing sessions with illustrator Till Lenecke to coincide with Castles and Palaces Day: from 10 a.m. at Burg Vischering in Lüdinghausen and from 2 p.m. at Museum Abtei Liesborn in Wadersloh.
