News on the NRW Regional Culture Programme: Münsterland Cultural Academy presents revised regional cultural profile

Information event with the Münsterland Cultural Office on 29 August in Altenberge.

It is one of the most established and important cultural funding programmes in Münsterland and in NRW: the Regional Culture Programme NRW (RKP for short). For over 25 years, it has supported artists and cultural practitioners in realising their project ideas. The basis is the regional profile, which was revised this year for the Münsterland cultural region. The cultural office of Münsterland e.V. would like to present this new edition to all interested parties and potential applicants at an information event: on Tuesday, 29 August, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Heimatverein Altenberge ("Stenings Scheune"), Friedhofstraße 9, 48341 Altenberge.
In addition to the presentation of the new cultural profile, the event will also deal with the RKP funding programme in general: What are the application criteria, what should generally be considered? What are the most important deadlines? How much funding can be applied for? These and other questions will be answered by the team of the Cultural Office together with Jan-Christoph Tonigs, Head of the Department of Culture at the Münster District Government. As an expert on funding guidelines, target agreements and general ancillary provisions, he maintains an exchange with the Ministry of Culture. With his many years of experience as a cultural manager and curator, he knows both sides of the funding business.

The Münsterland Cultural Office is the responsible RKP coordination office and advises cultural associations, municipalities, institutions, private individuals and independent sponsors in their search for financial support.

The seminar is aimed at arts and culture professionals from the Münsterland who would like to learn about the NRW Regional Cultural Programme and the new regional cultural profile for the Münsterland. The venue is barrier-free. There is no fee, but binding registration at www.muensterland.com/kulturakademie is required.

Anyone who would also like to apply for supplementary funds for accessibility as part of an application to the Regional Culture Programme NRW can find out about planning and implementing the relevant measures in the online workshop of the same name on Wednesday, 30 August, from 9.30 am to 12 pm. Again, registration is required; all information can be found at www.muensterland.com/kulturakademie.

More about the RKP

Since 1997, the "Regional Culture Programme" has been funding projects that strengthen communication and cooperation between creators and those responsible in NRW's cultural regions, bundle forces, network and strengthen the identity and attractiveness of the region. The state funding amounts to a maximum of 50 percent of the total expenditure. In Münsterland, the Cultural Council discusses the project ideas submitted. If it makes a recommendation, a formal application can be submitted to the Münster district government.
