Plenty to talk about: Service Onboarding@Münsterland invites newcomers to the LWL Museum Textilwerk in Bocholt

Welcome event on 27 September with a guided tour of industrial culture and a cosy evening out.

New to Münsterland, but not quite arrived yet? Everyone who has recently moved to the region and wants to make contact with other newcomers is invited to the Welcome Event in Bocholt on 27 September (Wednesday).

The Onboarding@Münsterland service of Münsterland e.V. has chosen the LWL Museum Textilwerk in Bocholt as an unusual place to get to know people. It combines two museum locations and is situated in the middle of a new cultural quarter between the city centre and the Aasee lake. While in the historic Herding spinning mill the technology over the course of time, fashion history and design of today can be seen, the weaving mill is designed as a world of experience. In addition to the daily show production on historic looms, there is a fully furnished residential house with a flowering workers' garden to discover.

"The one-and-a-half-hour tour promises exciting insights and views - into local industrial culture and high up on the spinning mill's rooftop bar over the entire city," says Paulina Wittich, project manager of the Onboarding@Münsterland service at Münsterland e.V. "We are looking forward to an interesting evening that is sure to provide plenty of material for conversation." The guided tour of the textile plant begins at 6.30 pm. Afterwards, there will be a cosy end to the event with finger food and cool drinks at the Schiffchen restaurant until around 9 pm.

Registrations can be made until 20 September at www.muensterland.com/willkommensevents. A contribution towards costs of ten euros will be charged with the registration. It pays to be quick, the number of participants is limited.

The Onboarding@Münsterland service is a regional initiative of employers and economic players in the Münsterland region and is implemented by Münsterland e.V. with the support of numerous institutions in the Münsterland region. The service is aimed at (new) skilled workers as well as employers. Skilled workers are supported in arriving and settling in Münsterland, employers in the region in recruiting skilled workers.
