Subsidy for cultural picnics during the Münsterland Picnic Days

Art and culture professionals can apply until 15 April.

A cabaret picnic, a reading with picnic accompaniment or a vernissage with an indoor picnic: there are many ways to combine the themes of culture and picnic. Münsterland e.V. wants to support art and culture makers in this: with a grant for cultural picnics that take place during the Münsterland Picnic Days from 16 to 19 June 2022. Artists can still apply for this until 15 April. The event will be promoted as part of the region-wide campaign for the picnic days and receive a grant of up to 1500 euros.

"Picnicking together strengthens the sense of community and sums up the quality of life and the attitude to life in Münsterland. So it's a super starting point for exciting and creative ideas from cultural actors in the region," emphasises Melanie Schlüters, head of the Picnic³ project at Münsterland e.V. "It doesn't always have to be the classic picnic box. Picnics can also be understood as a creative method, for example, to develop new ideas during open-air cooking."

The prerequisite for the grant is an event that takes place during the Münsterland Picnic Days from 16 to 19 June 2022 and has a clear picnic connection. Under the motto "I. You. Us. Münsterland celebrates picnics!" events will then take place all over Münsterland on the theme of picnics. Events that are already planned for the period and can be supplemented by a picnic can also be subsidised.
