Talking about tomorrow today: Kulturcamp Münsterland on 8 June networks the cultural region

MÜNSTERLAND. What culture is important for Münsterland? What does the Münsterland cultural landscape need to be sustainable? How much is it worth in times of "system relevance"? These and many other questions will be explored at the region-wide online event "Kulturcamp Münsterland" on 8 June from 10 am to 4 pm. The cultural office of Münsterland e.V. invites art and culture professionals to discuss in workshops, relaxed rounds, at lectures or around a digital campfire. Interested parties can register at www.muensterland.com/kulturcamp until 4 June.

The programme is varied: in a total of 15 sessions, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas in short workshops, interactive lectures, idea exchanges and digital campfires. Topics include the interplay between culture and tourism, the opportunities and potential of digital cultural offerings, the challenges and possibilities for action in dealing with right-wing ideas, art in public space and the current challenges in event planning. In a separate digital workshop room, FSJers from the region will discuss participation opportunities for young adults in culture under the motto "We are the future?!".

"We want to bring together people working in the arts and culture from the whole region. Because the Corona crisis has shown that the cultural sector is facing special challenges," says Andre Sebastian, head of the cultural office. "At the Culture Camp, we want to use different formats to inform, invite exchange, encourage dialogue and also encourage further action. Because that is urgently needed."

In addition to the digital offerings, "system relevance walks" will also be offered in presence on 8 June: Actors from the Münster City Ensemble will meet with actors from Münsterland and exchange views on the relevance of art and culture during a walk.
