MUNSTERLAND. The demand for inspiration, tips and suggestions for the next holiday or excursion is increasing. Since the beginning of the relaxations, the phones have been running hot at the two tourism organisations Münsterland e.V. and Münster Marketing. In addition to information on possible local leisure activities, many callers also want to book directly. With the continuation of last year's campaign "Dein MünsterLand Moment" (Your MünsterLand Moment), holidaymakers are to be inspired to take time out in Münster and the Münsterland again this summer.
"We want to get into the heads of people who are just thinking about where to go on their summer holiday," says Klaus Ehling, board member of Münsterland e.V. "Because as soon as travelling is possible again depending on what is happening with infections all over Germany, many people will take advantage of this opportunity. We are well positioned for this here in Münsterland with the campaign."
At www.DeinMünsterLandMoment .de, a total of 38 inspirations with many tips for tours, activities, sights, gastronomy, shopping and overnight stays are available to those interested. Guests can filter the offers according to their interests or the length of their stay and then find the right offer. The website is being promoted with an extensive digital campaign, accompanied by classic print media. Radio spots are also planned.
Bernadette Spinnen, head of Münster Marketing: "The focus of the promotion is on clearly defined, supra-regional target markets in Germany, where we can score with the special combination of city flair and country idyll. It is extremely important to be able to welcome guests back to the city centres. Gastronomy, retail, the hotel industry - these are all closely linked to a flourishing tourism industry, both in the city and in the countryside."
Tourism centres play an important role in the new start as central contact points for potential guests. In recent weeks, an increasing number of interested people took advantage of the advisory services. "The demand for accommodation and comprehensive information material is particularly high. You can clearly sense: people want to get out again, have an appetite for holidays and are ready to book," says Sven Schoppmann, head of Münster Information.
An experience that Heidi Feige, head of the Münsterland e.V. Tourism Centre, confirms: "Personal contact is particularly important right now. Because there is a lot of uncertainty due to the great regional differences about what is allowed and what is not. Guests want to get very precise information and advice before they book."
The campaign Dein MünsterLand Moment was launched in July 2020 to support tourism in Münsterland due to the Corona pandemic. It was conceived for the long term and also offers many tips for locals.
