Time for good planning: the new Münsterland e.V. cycle planning map is here

MÜNSTERLAND. Even if the bicycle is perhaps still waiting in the garage to be used at the moment, the mind can already start planning the next cycle tour. Support is provided by the freshly published new edition of the cycle planning map of Münsterland e.V. It gives cyclists a good overview of themed routes, the circular route network and cycle services.

"The cycle planning map provides information on the most important cycle tours in Münsterland, including the famous 100 Castles Route, the Ems Cycle Route and the Peace Route," says Michael Kösters, general representative and tourism expert at Münsterland e.V. As premium routes that meet special quality criteria, they are highlighted in colour on the map. In addition, the circular route network of the Münsterland cycling region is shown: Each circular route is given a number, for which the length of the route in kilometres can be read off in a table.

The individual routes can be easily combined, so the tour can be planned individually. Divided into more than 200 circular routes, each with a length of ten to 50 kilometres, this system is unique in Germany. In this way, the region can be explored in a star shape from each of the 70 holiday and home towns in the Münsterland.

An overview of current bicycle rental and service points as well as all the addresses of the tourist information offices in Münsterland are also part of the cycle planning map. "Folded up small, it is a practical companion for every large or small cycle tour. But please only go on tour again when the corresponding restrictions have been lifted," emphasises Michael Kösters.

Interested parties can request the cycle planning map and the detailed "Cycling" catalogue from Münsterland e.V. at the service number 02571-949392 or download it from the internet at www.muensterland-tourismus.de.
