15th edition of the charity ride with more than 40 participants
On the road on a racing bike to collect donations for children in need: On Thursday (Ascension Day) at 10 a.m. at Münster/Osnabrück Airport, the starting signal for the Rennfietsen-Tour Münsterland will be given. This year's 600-kilometre journey will take the more than 40 participants all the way to the North Sea to mark the 20th anniversary of the Ems Cycle Route. The destination is Münster's Prinzipalmarkt on Sunday. One hundred per cent of the donations will go to the two aid organisations AGAPEDIA Foundation and roterkeil.net.
The racing cyclists start in small groups and are accompanied by tour guides. The start is at 10 a.m. (Sunday at 9.30 a.m.). Arrival time at the stage finish is between 5 and 6 pm (Sunday at 3 pm). On Thursday, the tour will start at FMO and travel through Tecklenburg, Merzen, Dinklage and Essen (Oldenburg) to Haselünne. On Friday, the team will travel through Werlte, Friesoythe, Elisabethfehn and Filsum to Emden. On Saturday, the route heads back towards Münsterland on the western side of the Emss past Leer, Papenburg, Meppen and Salzbergen to Rheine. From there, the tour continues on Sunday through Schüttorf, Burgsteinfurt, Legden and Münster-Gievenbeck to the finish at the town hall on Prinzipalmarkt in Münster.
