Four days of cycling for children in need: 14th RennFietsen Tour Münsterland starts on 18 May

Starting tomorrow (Ascension Day), participants in the 14th RennFietsen Tour Münsterland will once again be "cycling for a good cause". Around 40 racing cyclists will be on the road from Thursday to Sunday, covering a total of 600 kilometres in four stages through the Münsterland region. The starting signal will be given tomorrow (18 May) at 10 am at Münster/Osnabrück Airport in Greven. As part of the anniversary "375 Years of the Peace of Westphalia", the tour will run along parts of the Peace Route from Osnabrück to Münster on the last day of the tour, ending there in front of the Peace of Westphalia Town Hall. The participants collect donations per kilometre ridden, 100 per cent of which go to the two aid organisations Stiftung AGAPEDIA and roterkeil.net.

"The RennFietsen Tour can finally take place again this year in the familiar, popular format. We want to cycle together for four days, have fun and, above all, collect donations for children in need," emphasises tour leader Joachim Wechner.

The cyclists will start in small groups and will be accompanied by tour guides. The start is at 10 am (Sunday at 9 am). Arrival time at the stage destination is between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. (Sunday at 3 p.m.). On Thursday, the tour will start at FMO and go through Hembergen, Greven-Reckenfeld, Nordwalde, Steinfurt-Borghorst, Laer, Osterwick (approx. 12.30 p.m.), Legden, Schöppingen (approx. 2.30 p.m.), St. Arnold, Emsdetten and Saerbeck to Brochterbeck. On Friday, the participants will ride through Ledde, Tecklenburg, Lienen, Glandorf (approx. 12 p.m.), Ostbevern, Füchtorf, Sassenberg (approx. 2.30 p.m.), Westbevern and Gelmer to Greven. On Saturday, the tour leads via Hembergen, Bevergern, Dreierwalde, Schapen, and Schale (approx. 12 p.m.) into neighbouring Lower Saxony through Fürstenau, Bippen, Berge, Ankum (approx. 2.45 p.m.) and Merzen to Wallenhorst. And the last day of the tour leads the cyclists on Sunday in the footsteps of the peace riders through Osnabrück, Hasbergen, Lengerich, Ladbergen (approx. 12 p.m.), Gelmer, Sprakel and Nienberge and ends around 3 p.m. in front of the historic town hall in Münster.
