Arrived at your job, found a flat, but still haven't met enough people? That can be changed: At the welcome event for newcomers on 7 May (Saturday) in Dülmen. The Onboarding@Münsterland service of Münsterland e.V., together with the Economic Development Department of the City of Dülmen, invites you to visit the wild horses in the Merfelder Bruch. The event is aimed at anyone who has not lived in the Münsterland for long and would like to make new contacts. Families with children are also welcome.
The event starts at 2 pm at the railway station in Dülmen. From there, a double-decker vintage bus will take participants to the Dülmen wild horses in the Merfelder Bruch nature reserve. During an exclusive guided tour, participants will learn more about the animals and their habitat. Today, the herd is considered to be the last wild horse herd in Europe and, with around 400 animals, is impressive in size. Afterwards, the newcomers picnic on site with coffee and cake with a view of the wild horses. A convivial setting to get to know not only the Münsterland, but also other newcomers to the region and to exchange ideas. The vintage bus will then take everyone back to Dülmen station. The event will end at around 5 pm.
Admission is free, registrations are possible until 30 April at www.muensterland.com/willkommensevents. It pays to be quick, the number of participants is limited.
