Families take note: Exciting day tips from Münsterland e.V. for the Whitsun weekend

MÜNSTERLAND. A holiday at home is worthwhile. Anyone who still needs tips for an exciting day trip with the family for the Whitsun weekend can find inspiration at www.muensterland-tourismus.de. Under the heading "Whitsun in Münsterland", Münsterland e.V. has put together a variety of day trips around Münster, Ibbenbüren, Oelde and Raesfeld . An ideal opportunity for a short break together with the children.

And there is a lot to experience: the four day tips include both a child-friendly cultural programme in museums and exciting adventures at adventure playgrounds or at the big children's pirate festival. The summer toboggan run and a rally through the botanical gardens are also included. Oriented to times of day - morning, noon, afternoon - the region offers an exciting programme from morning to evening for little explorers on a journey through time, on the high seas, at the castle or on a ghost hunt. In typical Münsterland style, the bicycle should not be missing from such excursions - for Oelde and Raesfeld there are cycling tours specially designed for families.

"The offers show the diversity and family-friendliness of the Münsterland region," says Michael Kösters, general representative and tourism expert at Münsterland e.V. Adults don't miss out on the excursions either: "Of course, our beautiful landscapes, the gardens and parks and the impressive castles are also part of the day tips." There is Raesfeld Castle with its zoo, the Dörenther Cliffs and the old town of Münster to see. The Four Seasons Park in Oelde also offers a wide range of activities for young and old.
