Solo self-employed people are often left to their own devices. The KOMPASS funding programme launched in 2023 supports them with targeted qualifications to strengthen their business models. The programme focuses on financial support for targeted further training measures. Münsterland e.V. is currently one of 28 contact points throughout Germany.
The aim of the innovative programme is to support full-time solo self-employed people with targeted qualifications to strengthen their business models and keep them on track overall. KOMPASS covers a wide range of topics. For example, specialised training or seminars on commercial or legal topics, but also personal development, are eligible for funding.
"People who talk to us are primarily interested in the latest technical possibilities," says Stephany Wahrhusen from the advice centre at Münsterland e.V. "Topics relating to AI, online marketing and innovation management are in high demand. Many people find it extremely helpful to have a confidential counselling session with us to look at their own professional situation and receive expert support in choosing a suitable training course."
Up to 90 per cent of the training costs, or a maximum of 4,500 euros, can be covered. The funding programme is financed by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) with support from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus).
