What was it like for you...? Podcast series on business succession launched in Münsterland

The joint project Gründergeist #Youngstarts Münsterland interviews exciting personalities from the region.

Do you want to become an entrepreneur? An exciting idea! Especially when it comes to the topic of succession. This is shown by the new podcast of the joint project Gründergeist #Youngstarts Münsterland, which is dedicated to precisely this topic. The podcast series "Company Succession in Münsterland" features personalities from the region who have already taken this step and taken over a company. Now the first episodes are going online.

"When it comes to taking the step into self-employment, there is no one silver bullet - everyone has their own succession story," emphasises Frank Sibbing, head of the Gründergeist #Youngstarts Münsterland project. "With our podcast, we want to bring interested parties closer to the topic of business succession and inspire listeners to take this step." Sibbing and project employee Katharina Stemmer are not the only ones to interview exciting entrepreneurs from the region. Nikolai Brinkmöller from Opwoco Media GmbH and Alexander Kelm, start-up consultant at WESt GmbH, also take on the role of questioners in some episodes. And the interviewees take their time, reminisce about the beginnings and sometimes talk out of the closet. They talk about why they decided the way they did, what was the key to their success and what special features there are when you want to take over a company.

In the first episode, Johannes Austermann from Warendorf has his say. It has been one and a half years since the 24-year-old took over the cinema "Scala Film-Theater Warendorf". In the podcast, he talks about his leap from the bank to the cinema, his first meeting with his predecessor Wilhelm Cordes at the kitchen table and his absolute no-go for those interested in succeeding him. "Johannes Austermann is such an exciting entrepreneurial personality because he perfectly combines the tradition and history of the cinema with modern technology and his own ideas," finds Katharina Stemmer, project worker for Gründergeist #Youngstarts Münsterland. And if you want to know more: "It's worth listening in!" agree Stemmer and Sibbing.
