Cycling Tour | Pedal Knight Meets Castle

Before you reach Lüdinghausen, you should visit Nordkirchen Castle. The "Westphalian Versailles", as it is also called, is not far from Lüdinghausen. The extensive castle park is always worth a visit.

Today you have time to get to know the cute town centre of Lüdinghausen. Stroll through the pedestrian zone and make yourself comfortable in one of the small, beautiful cafés. You'll also find one of the best ice cream parlours in the region. Relaxing is the order of the day! In the afternoon, it's off to the water. Take a canoe trip on the Stever. From the pier in Lüdinghausen to Kakesbeck Castle and back again. You can also enjoy a picnic during the trip (at an extra charge), which we will be happy to arrange for you at the hotel.

On a 43 km cycle tour today you can discover one or two castles and the beautiful park landscape in Münsterland. You start at Vischering Castle. The cycle tour takes you along the 100 castles route to the next castle complex, Kakesbeck Castle - one of the largest medieval fortifications in Münsterland. The route continues to Senden. The castle of the same name awaits you here. You will now leave the 100 castles route and visit the Grothues-Potthoff farm shop. Shortly before you reach the town centre of Lüdinghausen again, you will pass the Böcker forester's farm.
