Altenberge - Sloe Route

From Altenberger Höhenrücken, the route takes you through the Münsterland park landscape towards Greven. On the way, we recommend a stop in the historic district of Gimbte. There are a number of restaurants there that will provide you with regional dishes from the Münsterland region on your bike tour. From here you cycle along the Ems to Greven. The route takes you via Nordwalde back to Altenberge. The Schlehenroute is particularly impressive for its natural contrasts and offers great variety and beautiful views.

45 kilometres is no mean feat. Especially not when there are a few climbs in between and the surface is not always the finest asphalt. The Sloe Route is something for ambitious cyclists who are prepared to shed a few drops of sweat for the sake of their nature experience - or who are travelling by e-bike.

The nature reserve Hanseller Floth and the Bockholter Berge in Greven, the Gräftenhöfe in Nordwalde and the Höhenrücken in Altenberge are among the highlights of this tour.

We have tested the sloe route for you

Our colleague Kerstin Clev was cycling on the sloe route. And at 34 degrees Celsius! In the MünsterlandBlog she tells us in detail which places she visited and how she rated the cycle route overall. Of course, she also has a few tips for you!
