Billerbeck celebrates - sometimes quietly at the reading night and sometimes loudly at the town festival. It is not only the locals who enjoy meeting around the mighty cathedral - guests are also very welcome. "Gans Billerbeck", the book market and many other events fill the calendar of events in the "cathedral city". A real highlight is also the Christmas market in the Kolvenburg.
If you would like to see more events, also from the surrounding area, simply change the radius or expand the search date.
The "BillerBeats" are five musicians from the Münsterland region and play a mix of their own songs and newly interpreted cover versions. Rather than digging through the charts, they bring forgotten sounds from all corners of PopRockSoulSwingFolkFunk back to our ears. The sensitive, impressive voice of Liliya Latzko takes centre stage, with the "boys" in the background happy to join in fearlessly from time to time. As the band's name suggests, there are definitely biographical references to the cathedral city...
There's something for everyone!
Liliya Latzko - vocals, flute | Robert Wilken - guitar | Norbert Dingemann - guitar | Werner Bethmann - bass | Michael Tuschewitzki - drums
The BillerBeats play a "travelling concert" at different locations:
6 pm: Beer garden Mertens am Dom
7 pm: Münsterstraße/Pot Still
8 pm: Lange Straße/Musikcafé Melrose

Always a welcome guest in Billerbeck, today at the InnenStadtSommer "open air": the children's theatre Don Kidschote with a brand new play for the whole family!
Together, Schnick & Schnack embark on a journey through the universe in their flying super cupboard in search of a new home. A human test with the children, curious encounters, strange behaviour and unusual views propel them from planet to planet to finally land on Earth. But the mayor of their home planet is constantly on their heels. But just running away is no solution.
With courage, self-confidence and the children, they manage to outwit the mayor. But then it turns out that the mayor isn't evil at all, he's just lonely. Together with all the inhabitants of the planet, the children and the mayor, Schnick & Schnack celebrate a big party, because home is where you feel at home.
A lively, humorous and child-orientated performance about war and peace, leaving and arriving, tolerance, hope, diversity, togetherness, courage and bravery.
Acting: Kathi Laukemper & Joscha Gingold
Script & director: Christoph Bäumer
Costumes: Matthias Betke & Sonja Roeske
The play is suitable for children aged 4 and over and their families. Limited seating is available. Children are also welcome to bring picnic blankets or their own seats to sit on.
Theatre Don Kidschote stands for professional, moving, funny and extremely entertaining theatre for young and old. It has many years of experience in children's theatre in particular, is based in Münster and travels from north to south and east to west.

A sound like a gentle embrace...
Singer-songwriter MALENA kicks off the weekend with us this Friday! Together with her musicians Tobias Janssen and Luca Janzen, she will play her own songs as well as cover versions and rock the Markt am Dom...
MALENA's voice is full of emotion and gets right under your skin - sometimes fragile and tender, sometimes explosive.
The Polish-born singer tells honest stories in her songs - stories as life writes them. They are about unconditional love, happiness, longing for home and grief after a loss.
MALENA discovered her passion for music and poetry at a young age. They gave her stability, especially after emigrating to Germany in 1989: a reception camp, secondary school, a foreign language. She began to write poems in her mother tongue to process her experiences. Finally, she dedicated herself to composing songs in German and Polish. MALENA has now lived in Billerbeck for several years.
In close co-operation with the Westphalian Literature Office in Unna, MALENA was able to make a special musical contribution as part of the "Experiment Heimat" project. Her first single "Sag mir" was released in spring 2022 and followed in October
MALENA's first EP "Stopp! Stop". With her single of the same name "Stopp! Halt!" she was nominated for the RIO-REISER SONGPREIS 2023.
