Guitarists Markus Dassmann and Michael Neumann play pop and jazz standards instrumentally as "Duo M", interpreting classics of music history with a pleasantly jazzy tone. Relaxed listening pleasure with recognition value: "Ain't no sunshine", "As times go by", "Jamin'", "Killing me softly", "Agua de beber", "Mas que nada" or "Just the two of us" are classics that (almost) everyone knows.

Experience nature with excitement, fun and games. Who hasn't seen bats flying at dusk? But very few have heard them! Equipped with bat detectors, we will make the silent cries of bats audible and observe them as they hunt. On this evening, we will learn a lot about our native bats through pictures, stories, songs and games. Why do they fly with their hands and see with their ears? How do they find their prey with the help of ultrasound?

The singer and guitarist Lucas Mewes plays covers and original compositions with diverse influences from the fields of blues, soul, country and jazz. He is regularly on tour with the rock band "ROVAR"

The Saturday market takes place every first Saturday of the month from March to October. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the traders invite you to take a leisurely stroll around the market. The Saturday market offers a wide range of products. Whether poultry, lamb and game specialities from master butcher Düpmann, fresh flowers from the Große Brintrup nursery in Dülmen or various baked goods, cheese and beekeeping products from Heidehof Lette - numerous fresh market products are available at the Saturday market. The unpackaged shop Sisu will also be represented with fruit and vegetables and regional products. The fresh produce market will be complemented by a varied culinary offering. Fresh coffee specialities, classic bratwurst and Greek dishes will tempt you to try and feast. After an extensive market stroll, the Natz von Dülmen invites you to a regulars' table. With the bag, Saturday market shopping is not only more convenient, but also cheaper! The market bag is filled with a loaf of bread of your choice and a piece of cheese from Heidehof Lette, a tied bouquet of flowers from Blumen Große Brintrup, a Spanish salami from butcher Lars Düpmann, a fruit and vegetable bag from the unpackaged shop Sisu and a drinks voucher for the Saturday market from Dülmen Marketing. The entire market bag costs 20 euros.

The idyllic Sythen Castle in Haltern am See provides the ideal setting for the Sythen Guitar Days, which always take place in August. The aim of this concert series is to present the great diversity of the classical guitar. Guitarists of international renown guarantee a multi-stringed musical experience. Four concerts on two Sundays offer guitar music of the highest calibre in a magical setting. The Sythen Guitar Days are a project of the Masthoff Cultural Foundation, which also supports them financially.

Concert price: €18, tickets are available at the Tourist Information Centre in the Old Town Hall or online.

"Touch of Sounds" are the musicians Uwe Kajan and Harry Helmer. The first half of the programme consists of pieces by German singer-songwriters such as Johannes Oerding, Max Giesinger, Jupiter Jones, Westernhagen and Lindenberg. The second half is dedicated to artists such as Prince, Oasis, Seal, Sting and Michael Jackson.

Zoran Dukić is a professor at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague; he studied with Hubert Käppel in Cologne, among others.

Market square, 7.30 pm: Circus UnARTiq: "CurtainCall"

Two internationally renowned artists conquer an impressive scenery with an exciting mix of narrative forms. Their oversized curtain transforms the surroundings into an open-air theatre: a city park, a market square and a riverbank become the stage set, enticing the audience to rediscover the familiar. A wide variety of circus techniques, such as acrobatics on the swinging trapeze and the Chinese pole, provide the vocabulary for a contemporary metaphorical language and repeatedly ensure moments of amazement and forgetting all worries. Live music mingles with modern electronic sounds: a saxophone plays the soundtrack for a vertical dance on a rope ladder at dizzying heights. The artists manipulate the versatile setting in elegant choreographies, creating constantly changing perspectives and surprising situations.

Königsplatz, 20:15: Matthias Romir: "Black"

This show is like good coffee: bitter like life, black like the future, and yet in a strange way a pleasure. The weightless lightness of the helium balloons takes on a grotesque flavour in the hands of the oddball clown on roller skates. In the struggle with the pitfalls of the object, one realises: here the art of failure is consistently thought through to the end. Expressive juggling meets depressive clowning and naive mask play. A show that gets under your skin, but above all is one thing: hilarious.
