Cycling in Emsdetten
The name of the city says it all: the Ems, which runs through the city in wide arcs, is a defining feature. Cyclists can follow Germany's smallest river on the Ems cycle path . A great destination for a cycle tour is the Bentlage Monastery in Rheine. The numerous cycle paths offer many other circular tours by bike. The cycle paths in the direction of Steinfurt have almost no inclines. The moated castle and the old town are well worth a visit. A cycling tour to Ibbenbüren, where you can already reach the foothills of the Teutoburg Forest, is much more sporty.
