Hardly a weekend goes by in Haltern am See without an event attracting visitors to the town. Between the Roman Museum and the lido there is a lot of celebrating, dancing, participating and marvelling. When locals and guests flock to the town centre, it is guaranteed to be because of the "White Night", the traditional goose market, the culinary offerings of "Haltern bittet zu Tisch" or one of the many other events. History is turned back 2,000 years at the Roman Days at the Roman Museum. At the Sunset Beach Festival, on the other hand, only the "here and now" counts. The best DJs play in front of the backdrop of the lake.
If you want to see more dates, also from the surrounding area, simply change the radius or expand the search date.
The "FeierAbend" celebrated its successful premiere last year.
Simply go to the market square one evening a week, meet up with friends and round off the day in a cosy atmosphere with delicious food and cool drinks.
A DJ provides the good background sound. New on board is Black Bonsai Sushi. Also taking part again: Bilkenroth, Jupp Craft Bier, Brauwerk Schacht 8, Rossini, Extrablatt, Daniel's Delikatessen, Palm BBQ, Crunchy Currywurst, Tante Tomate and others ...
Anyone who would like to take part in one of the next celebration evenings with a stand can contact the association directly by email: info@halterntutgut.de
Venice: For centuries, the lagoon city with its 1000 bridges, complex water reflections, gondola rides, the hustle and bustle of St Mark's Square and the Carnevale di Venezia has inspired artists. This place of longing is the birthplace of countless masterpieces of art history and the venue for the Biennale Arte. Venice and art are inseparable. The representation of Venice in art characterises the city just as much as the city characterises the art world. We are dedicating this one-day workshop on Sat 20 July 2024 to Venice, the city of art - and everyone is free to choose their own motif. A suitable template or image concept should be brought along on the day of the course so that the exact procedure for realising the motif can be discussed in the morning preliminary meeting.

Poetry slamer and author Stephan Sandkühler has been delighting audiences on the country's poetry slam stages for many years. His words always allow for interpretations and dreams. He is no stranger to mirror images, as well as the odd critical look at our actions and behaviour.
Always with a dose of humour! Always with a twinkle in his eye! And above all, always with respect! Sandkühler has now put together a small but fine solo programme with some of his texts. Without any time limit or scoreboards.
Tickets (€10) for the reading are available from the Kortenkamp bookshop.
Do you still need some holiday reading? Or are you looking for a special book that is no longer on sale? You're sure to find what you're looking for here, as well as many other things.
