Isselburg

The border town of Isselburg is surrounded by greenery and attracts visitors with its bicycle-friendly flair and special natural and cultural treasures. Situated in the triangle of Münsterland, the Lower Rhine and the Netherlands, Isselburg is a true paradise for cyclists.

Imposing moated castle with outstanding art collections

With Anholt mo ated castle in Isselburg you can admire one of the largest moated castles in the Münsterland region. The princely art collections are well worth seeing and can be viewed on a guided tour through the representative rooms of the main castle.

Bears on Lake Lucerne

The best way to experience the charming park landscape is by bike, for example on an excursion to Anholter Schweiz, a biotope wildlife park with around 50 animal species. During your walk through the wildlife park you will not only meet lynxes, wolves and reindeer, but also a replica of Lake Lucerne. Or you can set off from Isselburg on one of the many interesting cycle routes, such as the 100 castles route.
